Hosting and security
Vercel hosts these pages. Page requests involve your IP address, requested URL, request time, referrer where supplied, and browser/device information. This processing delivers the pages, diagnoses errors, and protects the website. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.
Vercel provides hosting on our behalf and also processes service and security data for its own purposes. Vercel documents a one-hour retention period for runtime logs on our Hobby plan. This does not cover every platform or security record. Its privacy notice describes retention based on service operation, security, legal obligations, and dispute handling.
Website services
These services load automatically when you visit the relevant pages:
- Vercel Web Analytics: records page views and provides aggregate statistics about pages, referrers, approximate location, and browser/device types. Our purpose is to understand website use and improve its content, relying on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and that legitimate interest. Vercel describes request-derived visitor hashes instead of third-party cookies, with visitor sessions discarded after 24 hours. Analytics data may be retained longer than the visitor session. See its analytics privacy information and retention explanation.
- Google Fonts: supplies fonts for the website. Your browser requests stylesheets and font files from Google, transmitting your IP address and applicable browser and request headers.
- Apple App Store badges: app landing pages load badge images from Apple, transmitting your IP address and applicable request headers.
For fonts and badges, our purpose is to present the pages and app-store links consistently. We rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and that legitimate interest. Google and Apple handle their request data under their own Google privacy policy and Apple privacy policy, including their retention practices. We do not receive separate visitor logs from these font or badge services.
Browser preferences
The website uses browser local storage for display preferences, such as light or dark appearance. Stored preferences remain until you clear them through your browser's site-data controls. For storage/access needed to apply a preference you request, we rely on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
International processing
Vercel, Google, Apple, and their service providers may process request data outside the EEA, including in the USA. Vercel describes EU–US Data Privacy Framework protection for covered US transfers and contractual safeguards in its privacy notice. Google describes its applicable adequacy frameworks and Standard Contractual Clauses in its transfer information. Apple's privacy policy identifies its EEA controller and describes safeguards for international processing, including Standard Contractual Clauses. These documents provide details of the respective safeguards.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. Providing this information is optional, but some details may be needed to answer your request.
We use correspondence to answer enquiries and provide support. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in responding to these messages. Where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take pre-contractual steps you request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies.
We use Google Workspace (Gmail) to receive and store email. Google processes message data on our behalf and may process it outside the EEA, including in the USA. Google's transfer terms provide for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered US transfers and contractual safeguards under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
We archive email correspondence indefinitely, without an automatic deletion schedule.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you can request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, and data portability, subject to the conditions for those rights.
Right to object
Where processing is based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Withdrawal of consent
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Requests and complaints
Contact support@builder.group to exercise your rights. We process these requests to fulfil our GDPR obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
You can complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. Our competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).
