Privacy notice for SelfieMirror

Effective November 1, 2026

This notice covers the SelfieMirror iPhone app and email support. Visits to builder.group, including the app's landing, help, and legal pages, are covered by the separate website privacy notice.

Who is responsible

The operator is Benno Kohrs, a sole proprietor in Germany trading as builder.group.

Email: support@builder.group

Postal address: available on request by email.

Using the app

SelfieMirror stores imported photo copies, project edits, and preferences on your iPhone. Editing and mirror detection run on the device. The app does not change the originals in your photo library.

We provide these local functions under your control. The app does not upload your photos, videos, projects, or local usage records to us. We do not operate user accounts, advertising, cross-app tracking, or an analytics service for the app. We act as controller for correspondence you send us.

Storage and access strictly necessary for local functions you explicitly request rely on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.

Permissions and choices

You choose photos through Apple's photo picker. Saving an exported video or aligned photos to Photos requires your permission, which you can manage in iPhone Settings. Sharing an export sends it to the app or service you choose, which handles its copy under its own privacy arrangements.

The Get Help email draft includes the app version, build, and iOS version. You can review and edit the draft before sending it. The Send Feedback draft does not automatically include those diagnostics.

Retention and deletion

Projects remain until you delete them. Deleting a project removes its imported copies and edits. Deleting the app and its data removes its local storage. This does not delete exports saved to Photos or copies shared elsewhere.

We cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device.

Selecting photos stored in iCloud may require an Apple-managed download. App data may be included in device backups, depending on your settings. Apple manages these services under its privacy policy.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. Providing this information is optional, but some details may be needed to answer your request.

We use correspondence to answer enquiries and provide support. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in responding to these messages. Where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take pre-contractual steps you request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies.

We use Google Workspace (Gmail) to receive and store email. Google processes message data on our behalf and may process it outside the EEA, including in the USA. Google's transfer terms provide for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered US transfers and contractual safeguards under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

We archive email correspondence indefinitely, without an automatic deletion schedule.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you can request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, and data portability, subject to the conditions for those rights.

Right to object

Where processing is based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Withdrawal of consent

Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Requests and complaints

Contact support@builder.group to exercise your rights. We process these requests to fulfil our GDPR obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

You can complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. Our competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).
